I’m glad you’re here.
If you landed on this page, something probably isn’t working the way it used to.
Maybe you’re exhausted.
Maybe you’re holding everything together on the outside and barely holding it together on the inside.
Maybe you’ve built something that looks successful—and it still doesn’t feel like you.
You’re not broken.
You’re just done pretending.
What I believe
I believe too many brilliant women have been conditioned to lead quietly, explain endlessly, and make themselves smaller to keep the peace.
And it’s costing them their voice, their energy, and their ability to lead fully.
This work exists to break that pattern.
Who I am
I’m Kristen Johnson—leadership coach, speaker, author, and founder of doIToutside™ and BOSSQUAKE™.
I coach women who are done over-functioning, done performing, and done shrinking just to be seen as capable.
This isn’t surface-level coaching. This is the kind of work that changes how you think, how you lead, and how you show up when things get uncomfortable.
My story (the honest version)
I’ve lived through the kind of chapters that force you to rebuild yourself from the ground up. Loss. Chaos. Uncertainty. The kind of moments that don’t ask if you’re ready—they just show up.
And somewhere in all of that, I learned something most people don’t get taught:
Confidence isn’t something you think your way into.
It’s something you practice your way into.
Not in perfect conditions.
Not when everything feels easy.
But right in the middle of the uncomfortable, messy, real-life moments.
That’s the foundation of everything I do now.
What doIToutside™ really means
doIToutside™ is built on a simple truth: when you change your environment, your thinking changes.
Movement interrupts overthinking.
Challenge creates clarity.
Discomfort builds self-trust.
This is why my work blends real-world leadership, neuroscience-informed tools, and outdoor-based experiences that actually shift how you operate.
Whether we’re working one-on-one, in a leadership setting, or out in the field— the goal is the same:
help you trust yourself again.
Who this is for
- Women who are done performing and ready to lead as themselves
- Women navigating change, growth, or identity shifts
- Leaders who are tired of over-functioning and carrying everything alone
If you’re looking for quick fixes or surface-level motivation, I’m not your coach.
If you’re ready to lead differently—and actually do the work to get there— you’re in the right place.
